A little David Bowie fan art for Inktober, day 8. The prompt is “star” and I used his Black Star video for inspiration.

Ink and white-out, 8″ x 10″
More Inktober madness, inspired by Sktchy. I got carried away with the spatter and had to rescue it with my trusty white-out pen. That headdress was super fun to do.
I have decided to not do Inktober on the weekend. I’m short 2 days since I’ve done 5 drawings and today is the 7th. Yes, math skills for the win. Being behind was stressing me out earlier today and you know, it’s not worth being stressed out about a self-imposed drawing challenge. So expect a post every weekday in October, and if any happen on the weekend it’s a bonus. My revised goal is to complete 23.
Tomorrow will be one of very few days where I use the prompts. The prompt tomorrow is “star”.

A Weeping Devil for Inktober, day 3. It has some things going for it but a bunch of details that are bothering me as well. But it’s Inktober, it’s late, I’m posting it. Day 3 done!
Take a breath, learn from the mistakes, and move on.

A woman in a crow mask for Inktober, day 2. I spent a couple of hours on another drawing that just wasn’t working out the way I wanted. This one felt rushed because of it, especially the torso. That’s ok- I’m mostly pleased with it. Besides, I had to have something done for day 2! It’s too early to fall behind. The failed drawing still interests me so I’ll revisit it in a couple of days or maybe next week.
Materials: Pilot Parallel Pen with waterproof ink, Pentel Pocket Brush, Pentel Color brushes in grey and black, Speedball Super Black for the spatter. All on Strathmore Bristol- smooth. That is a lot of “P’s” in those pens! Now that I think of it my other 2 favorite tools are P’s also: PITT artist pens and Platinum Preppy fountain pens.

Here is my drawing for Inktober, Day 1. Going to make this short because I feel like there are 47,000 different things I need to get done this afternoon.
For the ink and paper nerds here are my materials: Pentel Pocket Brush, Pentel Color Brush with grey ink, Platinum Preppy fountain pen with waterproof ink, spatter with Speedball Super Black, all on Strathmore Bristol- smooth.
