Inktober Day 20: Deep

INK20deep

Ink and white-out, 8″ x 8″

The day 20 prompt for Inktober was “deep”.  I went with Sktchy for inspiration today.  This was one of their curated suggestions for deep, as in deep in thought.

I am pleased with how this turned out.  This week I imposed on myself the restriction of only working with my new parallel pens, to figure out what they can do and how they can help me do what I want to do.  The lines and darks are drawn in waterproof ink in  a couple of the narrow pens and the grey tone is diluted waterbased ink in a wide pen.  A lot of the texture is spatter with a toothbrush, and then I used a white-out pen to get some of the lights back

  1. I appreciate the description of your technique, I love the spatter.

  2. Might be my fav drawing so far! Although all are incredibly detailed and expressive, and the description of your tools is helpful.
