Inktober Day 18: Filthy

INK18filthy

Ink, 8″ x 8″

“Bow to the Queen of Slime, the Queen of FILTH, the Queen of Putrescence!”

The Inktober Day 18 prompt was “filthy”.  Yeah, I changed the word slightly.  This is the old hag in Buttercup’s nightmare who “boo’s” her.

I loaded up one of the parallel pens with waterproof ink to see how it behaves.  It feels different and I’m not sure how to describe it.  Drier?  It doesn’t flow as freely as the waterbased ink.  It skips a bit more and some lines are very scratchy.  I like it though, and it doesn’t smear as easily, something I have to be super careful with when using the waterbased (autocorrect wants this to be “waterbed”) ink.  Ink clogging the pens is a worry so I will probably clean them out every couple of days.  Luckily they are not expensive so ruining one won’t be too painful.  Still, I will try not to ruin them.
