The Blank Page
This drawing is from a couple of years ago in a moment where I found myself wanting to draw something- but just staring at a blank page. I was outside in the bright sunlight, feeling uninspired, and decided to draw what was right in front of me.
I remembered this drawing while I was watching David Mack’s Ted Talk. David Mack is an artist that I greatly admire and this talk he did last month in Cincinnati is very inspirational. He begins talking about how in his profession he logs “a lot of time starting with a blank page”. His thoughts about storytelling, creativity, and finding your passion are interesting and well worth the listen.
