Audrey
Ok, I admit it: Audrey Hepburn and I were never on a “first name basis” and she never sat for me to draw. That would be a big pretend. Source material for this was a book of portrait photography and this particular photographer was Yousuf Karsh. Here’s a quote of his that I especially love:
“There is a brief moment when all that there is in a man’s mind and soul and spirit may be reflected through his eyes, his hands, his attitude. This is the moment to record. This is the elusive moment of truth.”
Brilliant.
Very well done; beautiful in fact! Brushstrokes, palette, treatment of the eyes, profile of the face and especially the nose, all in the space of 6″ square. Keep these great posts coming!
Thanks, Jason!
